Sustainability
We've woven sustainability into every sound-dampening solution we create. Pindrop's rigid felt qualifies for the Living Building Challenge, meaning free from any Red List chemicals, and is made entirely from recycled polyester. Sosquil, made from sisal, is both sustainable and biodegradable, while Nufelt, Silence and Tranquility are all made with recycled materials. All our acoustic wallcoverings meet criteria for LEED and other green building certifications. We like the sound of that.
Recycled Content
100% recycled polyester fibers, 60% of which comes from recycled plastic bottles, means our product contributes to LEED MRc3 Option 2 credit for recycled content.
Red List Free
Material transparency is key and our Declare label for Pindrop not only confirms our product is Red-List Free, it also contributes to credits for LEED MRc5, WELL and Living Building Challenge.
Product Certifications
Committed to sustainable practices, we provide HPDs on most of our products and have tested Pindrop panels against harmful substances using OEKO TEX STANDARD 100: 16.0.81891 CLASS 1.
Noise Reduction
Depending upon material choice and installation, sound absorption ranges from NRC 0.15 on acoustic wallcovering to NRC 0.90 for rigid acoustic panels.
Air Quality
Tested to CDPH 01350 Standard Method v1.2 means our products have low to no chemical emissions.
Fire Safety
Safety first: Our products feature a Class A fire ratings per ASTM E84 & CAN/UL S102.
